Subject: Doesn't work for Toshiba netbook
Comments: Despite reassurances to the contrary on the website, this chip did NOT work as a substitute for the real Kingston KTT1066D3S/2G in my Toshiba netbook. When inserted, my netbook simply sat there and attempted to turn on and off, per my research, a sign that it was simply not a functional chip in my machine. I then ordered a legitimate Kingston chip that worked right away when I installed it. This experience is the same as I've seen reported with Toshiba netbooks and other chips of various brands that claim to be the same as the Toshiba-specified Toshiba and Kingston chips. It's possible that this chip might be an adequate substitute in other computers. I'll be returning this one to Pro Memory Upgrade.
